This single malt whisky has a first maturation in ex-bourbon casks (bringing creamy notes to the light and fruity spirit style), before finishing in another cask type. STR casks are ex-red wine casks that have been shaved, toasted and recharred, creating the perfect environment for the light and creamy whisky to draw out the delicious red fruit flavours from the wood.
 
Treating the casks in this way tempers the tannins in the red wine casks and allows the flavour inside the wood to really come to the fore. 46%.
